This webinar will look at developing a shared ownership of SEND using stakeholder voice in school improvement planning. The session will include practical mainstream school improvement advice for sharing inclusive strategies and SEND good practice, including staff, pupil and parent voice. Attendees will leave with:
1) practical strategies for sharing good practice across their schools
2) ideas of how to engage staff, pupils and parents meaningfully in designing and evaluating SEND provision
3) practical approaches to develop inclusive school culture

Meet your trainer
Angela Holdsworth MBE
Angela recently received an MBE for her services to children and young people with special educational needs (SEND). She is CEO of The Sea View Trust - an inclusive MAT, with schools in Haslingden and Blackpool. With 30 years of teaching and leadership experience in both primary and special schools, Angela also works with the Teaching School Council as the National Representative for SEND and as a Regional Representative for Lancashire and West Yorkshire nasen Whole School SEND. Angela is a driven and committed system leader, and in her role as a National Leader of Education, has supported schools, trusts, and Local Authorities in a range of educational improvement priorities.

Nicole Dempsey
Nicole Dempsey is Assistant Principal for Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities and Safeguarding at Dixons Trinity Academy, a mainstream secondary free school in Bradford, West Yorkshire, as well as having a role supporting further development of equality and diversity across the Dixons Trust. She is also a Deputy Regional SEND Lead, in the Lancashire and West Yorkshire region, for Whole School SEND, a consortium of organisations committed to enhancing the quality of education for learners with special educational needs and/or disabilities throughout England. She writes about SEND and inclusion on her blog, inco14.wordpress.com, and tweets under the username @NDempseyDTA.
