Leading in SEND Professional Development (PD) Group
- Online
- 04 Nov 2025 (14:00 - 16:00)
This Professional Development Group is open to all.
The focus of the national group will be to utilise the Whole School SEND guide Every Leader a Leader of SEND and the SEND Reflection Guide to strengthen the confidence of middle and senior leaders in all aspects of SEND. Middle Leaders aspiring to Senior Leadership and Senior Leaders aspiring to be headteachers must have a good understanding and knowledge of SEND legislation, provision and practice. As a result of participation in this course they should be confident in their knowledge of current legislation and practice in relation to provision for special educational needs. In addition to strengthening their knowledge of current legislation and good practice delegates will have the opportunity to receive support from a WSS National Coordinator to identify and implement a school improvement project relating to provision for learners with SEND.
