Teaching Every Learner Professional Development (PD) Group

This Professional Development Group is open to all.

This five-session professional development series is designed for primary and secondary classroom teachers who want to strengthen their inclusive teaching practice and improve outcomes for learners with SEND in their classrooms. This programme uses the Whole School SEND CPD units and the Education Endowment Foundation’s evidence-based principles to help teachers remove barriers to learning and embed inclusive practice with confidence.

By taking part in this course, you will:

  • Learn practical, evidence-informed strategies for removing barriers to learning
  • Build a deeper understanding of the four broad areas of SEND need
  • Acquire tools to adapt your classroom practice and improve pupil outcomes
  • Engage in peer collaboration and reflective practice

Whether you're in the early stages of your career or looking to further refine your practice, this course will empower you to teach every learner with confidence and compassion.

Cognition and Learning

  • Session 3: Wednesday 14th Jan 2026 3:45 – 5:00pm (online)

Communication and Interaction

  • Session 4: Tuesday 20th Jan 2026 3:45 – 5:00pm (online)

Social, Emotional and Mental health needs

  • Session 5: Thursday 5th Feb 2026 3:45 – 5:00pm (online)

Physical and sensory needs and Embedding and evaluating practice
