Welcome to the Ebor Trust Whole School SEND professional development group!  We're looking forward to meeting and working with you over the next few months.  The purpose of the group is to offer structure, support, guidance and encouragement for you to be able to develop adaptive teaching practice in your schools relating to SEND and inclusion. Our theme for the group is Adaptive Practice in the classroom but the scope of this is very broad, so please don’t worry if you’re not sure at this stage what area of adaptive practices you will focus on; we will support you to identify a meaningful and manageable project to work on for the duration of the group.  Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions but, otherwise, we will see you in the first session.

Discussion with leaders around what is effective responsive teaching in the mainstream classroom and how this can lead into individualised Professional Development projects in settings across the primaries linked to Trust priorities. 

Dates and times of sessions

• Session 1 – Thursday 23rd October 2025 (3:30-4:45pm, online)

         Explore with a focus on Responsive Teaching.    

• Session 2 – Thursday 20th November 2025 (3.30-4.45pm, online)  

         Prepare with a focus on Working Memory.

• Session 3 – Thursday 15th January 2026 (3:30-4:45pm, online)

         Deliver with a focus on inclusive Oracy strategies.  

• Session 4 – Thursday 12th February 2026 (3:30-4:45pm, online)

         Sustain focus decided by group.
