Creative Education Trust Professional Development (PD) Group

This PD Group will support secondary school subject leaders develop a comprehensive understanding of SEND provision in England. Sessions will give subject leaders an in-depth look into SEND legislation and guidance and what that means for their subject leadership roles and daily teaching practice. Information will be provided about identification of SEND, adaptive curriculums, inclusive classroom environments, distributed leadership and inclusive teaching and learning strategies.
 
The PD Group will meet four times in the autumn and spring term – 2 x November, 2 x January. All sessions will be virtual and 90 minutes long (3.30-5.00) - co delivered by the RSL and Director of SEND, with break-out room discussions led by the SENDCO of each school.

• Session 1: 6th November 3.30 - 5pm (online)
• Session 2: 26th November 3.30 - 5pm (online)
• Session 3: 8th January 2026 3.30 - 5pm (online)
• Session 4: 29th January 3.30 - 5pm (online)
