Star Academies Professional Development (PD) Group

For professionals ready to work on a school improvement project over time.

Professional Development (PD) Groups are facilitated, cohort-based groups where professionals work on a defined school improvement project over time.

These are not webinars or one-off CPD sessions. Participation involves active engagement across a series of sessions, with work taking place in your setting between sessions.

Participants are expected to commit to attending all sessions and to work on their improvement project between sessions.

This professional development group aims to offer structure, support, guidance and encouragement for you to be able to develop adaptive teaching practice in your schools relating to SEND and inclusion. Our theme for the group is Transition but the scope of this is very broad, so please don’t worry if you’re not sure at this stage what area of Transition you will focus on; we will support you to identify a meaningful and manageable project to work on for the duration of the group.  

Please note: This PD Group is delivered as a series of sessions and requires commitment to attending all sessions.

• Session 2: Thursday 19 November 2026, 4:00-5:30pm 
• Session 3: Thursday 7 January 2027, 4:00-5:30pm
• Session 4: Thursday 4 February 2027, 4:00-5:30pm
