PD Groups

For professionals ready to work on a school improvement project over time

National Professional Development (PD) Groups are facilitated, cohort-based groups where professionals work on a defined school improvement project over time.

These are not webinars or one-off CPD sessions. Participation involves active engagement across a series of sessions, with work taking place in your setting between sessions.

Participants are expected to commit to attending all sessions and to work on their improvement project between sessions.

This National PD Group supports leaders to plan and implement a SEND-focused school improvement project linked to provision for learners with SEND.

Participants will bring a project idea connected to their area of responsibility and develop this across the series. The group supports leaders to strengthen understanding of SEND legislation, inclusive practice and leadership accountability, while applying this learning directly to improvement activity in their setting.

Participants will reflect on impact, challenges and next steps, with a focus on improving outcomes and wellbeing for learners with SEND.

Please note: This PD Group is delivered as a series of sessions and requires commitment to attending all sessions.
