For professionals ready to work on a school improvement project over time.
National Professional Development (PD) Groups are facilitated, cohort-based groups where professionals work on a defined school improvement project over time.
These are not webinars or one-off CPD sessions. Participation involves active engagement across a series of sessions, with work taking place in your setting between sessions.
Participants are expected to commit to attending all sessions and to work on their improvement project between sessions.
This National PD Group focuses on strengthening oracy and inclusive communication through a sustained school improvement project.
Participants will explore barriers to communication and learning, particularly for learners with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and identify clear priorities for improvement within their own setting. Through facilitated discussion and reflection, participants will plan and implement improvement activity aligned with whole-school inclusive practice.
The group supports participants to reflect on current practice, trial approaches in their setting, and evaluate the impact of their project over time. This group may be particularly helpful for colleagues planning or reviewing priorities within their School Improvement Plan.
Please note: This PD Group is delivered as a series of sessions and requires commitment to attending all sessions.
