Every student’s sensory experience is shaped by the interactions between their body, the school environment and the occupations (tasks) they are asked to engage in. This session will explore how we can support sensory regulation using universal, whole class approaches across the Person, Environment and Occupations. We will look at how sensory preferences influence participation, how school spaces can be adapted to reduce overwhelm and increase comfort, and how everyday tasks and routines can be modified to enable success. Participants will leave with practical, realistic strategies that can be embedded into daily classroom practice.
