For professionals ready to work on a school improvement project over time.
Professional Development (PD) Groups are facilitated, cohort-based groups where professionals work on a defined school improvement project over time.
These are not webinars or one-off CPD sessions. Participation involves active engagement across a series of sessions, with work taking place in your setting between sessions.
Participants are expected to commit to attending all sessions and to work on their improvement project between sessions.
This professional development group will bring together colleagues from across TMET to collaborate in refining and aligning meaningful teaching and learning approaches across schools. These approaches can then be adapted for subject-specific implementation, particularly within the secondary context where curriculum demands are complex and time-pressured. Grounded in the principle that all leaders are leaders of SEND, and all teachers are teachers of SEND, the group will foster a shared language and consistent practice of inclusion across all schools.
This programme would move beyond compliance and awareness, focusing instead on teaching and learning: what effective practice looks like in real classrooms, how it supports students with SEND, and how it benefits all learners. Enabling implementation of a shared language, evidence informed classroom practice and coaching model.
The aim is not to create additional workload, but to improve clarity, confidence, and consistency.
Please note: This PD Group is delivered as a series of sessions and requires commitment to attending all sessions.
