For professionals ready to work on a school improvement project over time.

Professional Development (PD) Groups are facilitated, cohort-based groups where professionals work on a defined school improvement project over time.

These are not webinars or one-off CPD sessions. Participation involves active engagement across a series of sessions, with work taking place in your setting between sessions.

Participants are expected to commit to attending all sessions and to work on their improvement project between sessions.

The purpose of the group is to offer structure, support, guidance and encouragement for you to be able to develop adaptive teaching practice in your schools relating to SEND and inclusion.

We will discuss with leaders what is effective responsive teaching in the mainstream classroom and how this can lead into individualised Professional Development projects in settings across the primaries linked to Trust priorities. Our theme is Adaptive Practice in the classroom but the scope of this is very broad, so please don’t worry if you’re not sure at this stage what area of adaptive practices you will focus on; we will support you to identify a meaningful and manageable project to work on for the duration of the group.

Please note: This PD Group is delivered as a series of sessions and requires commitment to attending all sessions.
