For professionals ready to work on a school improvement project over time.

Professional Development (PD) Groups are facilitated, cohort-based groups where professionals work on a defined school improvement project over time.

These are not webinars or one-off CPD sessions. Participation involves active engagement across a series of sessions, with work taking place in your setting between sessions.

Participants are expected to commit to attending all sessions and to work on their improvement project between sessions.

This PD Group will bring school inclusion leaders together to strengthen strategic understanding and practice around internal alternative and small group provision (Inclusion Support Bases). 

It will build shared clarity around purpose, rationale and vision, and provide an opportunity to reflect together on effective implementation, including identifying pupils and managing transitions, staffing, training and support, curriculum design, impact measurement and governance and facilities and resourcing. 

Please note: This PD Group is delivered as a series of sessions and requires commitment to attending all sessions.

• Session 1: Friday 18 September 2026, 1:00–3:15pm 
• Session 2: Friday 16 October 2026, 1:00–3:15pm
• Session 3: Friday  8 January 2027, 1:00–3:00pm
• Session 4: Friday 5 February 2027, 1:00–3:00pm
