For professionals ready to work on a school improvement project over time.

Professional Development (PD) Groups are facilitated, cohort-based groups where professionals work on a defined school improvement project over time.

These are not webinars or one-off CPD sessions. Participation involves active engagement across a series of sessions, with work taking place in your setting between sessions.

Participants are expected to commit to attending all sessions and to work on their improvement project between sessions.

This Professional Development group will support schools develop parental engagement improving communication. Sessions will give SENCo’s in-depth look into what good parental engagement looks like and how to develop strong relationships. Information will be gathered regarding parental complaints at school and Trust level, parental engagement at parents evening and parent feedback forms. The information will be shared by Parent/Carer forum, looking at models of good practice across the Trust and sharing ideas. 

Please note: This PD Group is delivered as a series of sessions and requires commitment to attending all sessions.

  • Session 2: Wednesday 11 November 2026, 9:30-10:30am (online)
  • Session 3: Wednesday  2 December 2026, 9:30-10:30pm (in-person)
  • Session 4: Wednesday 13 January 2027, 9:30-10:30pm (online)
  • Session 5: Wednesday  3 February 2027, 9:30-10:30pm (in-person)

Format: Online and in-person (venue to be confirmed)
