Universal SEND Services

Universal SEND Services is an ambitious programme. We deliver the programme in partnership with the Education and Training Foundation whose mission is to improve the quality of teaching and leadership across FE.

Online SEND CPD Units

This series of award winning online Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units explore some of the most commonly observed barriers to learning in classrooms and other learning environments, regardless of age, label or area of need.

The units are developed in partnership with leading specialists from the sector to provide clear guidance on adaptations to teaching to help meet the needs of all learners.

As 'short hop' learning journeys, each unit can be completed in under an hour.

Teacher Handbook: SEND

With contributions from specialists across the sector, the handbook is a comprehensive resource for teachers to use over time, with each of the nine sections intended to be used as required rather than being read in sequence. It brings together practical examples of high-quality teaching - placing focus on removing barriers to learning, getting to know and understand individual learners, and bringing to life the graduated approach.
