Kingsnorth English Hub Professional Development (PD) Group

Professional Development Group for English Leads in partnership with their SENCOs / Inclusion Leads from Primary settings who have recently graduated from the Kingsnorth English Hub’s progrmme- Partner Schools. 

This professional development group aims to support school improvement and pupil outcomes in relation to English for learners with SEND, for schools graduating from the Partner School programme. Three online meetings will be underpinned by developing a secure knowledge of the Education Endowment Foundation’s Implementation Cycle framework.

Participants will identify an area of school improvement related to English that arises from their involvement with the Partner School programme, and will work collaboratively with the group to explore, plan, deliver and evaluate school improvement for English within their settings. Experienced facilitators will support participants to identify and refine a focus for their school project before embarking on the delivery phase.

Throughout the process, participants, in their school pairs, will work alongside facilitators to share expertise around English. The programme will develop the confidence and expertise of English Leads in partnership with their SENCos/Inclusion Leads to develop high quality English provision within their schools in order to secure improved outcomes for learners with SEND and those benefitting from early intervention.

• Session 1: Thurs 16th Oct 2025, 2-4pm (online)
• Session 2: Thurs 4th Dec, 2-4pm (online)
• Session 3: Thurs 5th February 2026, 2-4pm (online)
