
TTS Launches Dedicated SEND Family Support Hub Following National Parent Survey
A new survey of over 500 parents of children with SEND has uncovered alarming shortfalls in support and has prompted the launch of TTS’ dedicated SEND Family Support.
TTS’ survey found that 89% of parents believe the lack of SEND support puts their child at a disadvantage, while fewer than 4% feel the government provides adequate support. Furthermore, 94% of parents feel overwhelmed when trying to access SEND support and only 9% feel it is easy to access the advice they need.
In response to a rising need in support for parents of children with SEND, TTS have launched a dedicated space for SEND resources, expert advice and guidance on their website, where parents and carers will be able to find content and resources to support their children at home.

“Our survey findings show that parents with SEND children are being left to fend for themselves and they need urgent support to give their children the best start in life.
“The majority of parents we spoke to told us that they most need to support their children’s feelings and emotions, as well as strategies to support calming and regulation.”
