nasen and Nisai Learning have announced a new two-year partnership aimed at promoting a shared, positive vision for the future of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) policy in England.

Helen currently teaches maths in Key Stage 5 at Park Community Academy Blackpool, whilst also working independently as a maths consultant. Helen also works as a Local Leader of Mathematics Education (LLME) with Abacus NW Maths Hub, where she has undertaken the role of Work Group Lead for numerous Research and Innovation Work Groups (RIWG), Specialist Knowledge for Teaching Mathematics (SKTM) for Secondary Teaching Assistants and, more recently, Regional Co-Lead (RCL) for the North West special schools Teaching for Mastery community. Away from work, Helen enjoys long distance running or, at a more leisurely pace, swimming and family days out.

Whole School SEND has published six self-evaluation frameworks aimed at improving the quality of provision in mainstream and special schools for children and young people with SEND.
