About this training

This training helps your secondary school move beyond surface compliance towards a culture where every neurodivergent student feels they belong and matter. It takes a strengths-based approach and keeps neurodiversity connected to your wider inclusion agenda, so practice is shared across departments rather than owned by one team.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• Understand how neurodivergent profiles present in adolescence, including masking and the sensory and social demands of the school day
• Recognise executive function and regulation differences, and their impact on organisation, homework and assessment
• Account for intersecting identities and needs, keeping neurodiversity connected to your wider inclusion agenda
• Apply responsive, adaptive teaching within subject lessons that reduces barriers without singling students out
• Build consistency across departments so inclusion is a shared responsibility, not the job of the SENCO alone
