Featuring Liz Wood: She For more than 30 years, Liz has worked in partnership with local authorities, settings and organisations to develop communication supportive environments and improve practice to support children and young people with speech and language challenges. She is a Lead Advisor for Speech and Language UK.
Join us for a FREE discussion exploring speech, language and communication needs in Secondary / FE settings.
The discussion will be hosted by Whole School SEND’s regional lead, Sam Battershall, and everyone will be encouraged to join in, ask questions and share experiences. As such, content will be responsive but may cover some or all of the following themes:
- key signs that could indicate that a learner has a speech, language and/or communication need, and
- universal, targeted and specialist support for learners with SLCN, using a graduated approach
It’s a great opportunity to hear from an experienced specialist, network with colleagues from across the country, and share learnings.
The discussion builds on our 20 minute online SEND CPD units. While everyone is welcome to take part in the session, delegates who have completed the corresponding unit content in preparation are likely to find the sessions particularly helpful.
Due to the interactive nature of these sessions, recordings will not be made available after the event.
